Simon Mullins is one of the smartest people in our space. In this article he explains that one of the challenges of the leadership recruiter is to push back against the “easy” hire. He also raises some questions about using “Hiring Manager Satisfaction” as a metric – pointing out that the ultimate client of the recruiter is the shareholder and the C-Suite.
Although Simon’s primary audience is in-house search, this article is just as valid for those at retained search firms – I recommend it to those on both sides of the fence.
